Who we are
World Youth Federation (“WYF”, “we”) is the Data Fiduciary for personal data collected for the Tamil Nadu Youth Parliament 2027 (“TNYP”).
What we collect
Name, date of birth, gender, contact details, district, institution or employer, ID and photo uploads, quiz responses and scores, video submissions, and accessibility needs (optional). We do not collect your Aadhaar number; please mask it on any upload.
Why we collect it
To verify eligibility, run Round 1, evaluate submissions, allocate zones, communicate with you, issue certificates, ensure representation (gender and district), and produce anonymised impact reports.
Consent
We process your data on the basis of your consent, given at registration, in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. You may withdraw consent at any time by writing to [PRIVACY_EMAIL]; this ends your participation.
Who sees it
Authorised WYF staff, trained evaluators (who see your video and TNYP ID, not your contact details), and our technology providers under confidentiality obligations. Partner colleges see only their own students' participation status. Sponsors never receive personal data, except opt-in career-interest lists that participants specifically consent to. We never sell your data.
Public information
Shortlisted names, districts and zones are published on the Results page. Photos and videos from live events may be used in programme communications if you gave media consent.
Retention
Personal data is deleted or anonymised within 12 months after the programme ends, unless you join the alumni network.
Your rights
To access, correct or erase your data, to withdraw consent, and to raise a grievance with our Grievance Officer, [GRIEVANCE_OFFICER_NAME] ([GRIEVANCE_EMAIL]). If unresolved, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.
Security
Encrypted storage, access controls and need-to-know access.
